A conversation with young people on what health sovereignty means in practice: who finances Africa's health priorities, who decides them, and how the next generation shapes that agenda.
About this event
Health sovereignty is usually discussed among ministries, funders and researchers. This conversation brings young people into that discussion directly, as the constituency who will live longest with the decisions being taken now.
The session opens up the practical questions behind the term: who finances health priorities across the continent, who sets them, where medicines and vaccines are made, and who holds the data.
As with all AHeD engagements, it is designed to produce clear outputs: a synthesis of what was raised, and a published record of agreed follow-up actions.
